My 135i is for sale...sadly

It's a sad, sad day...

I found out today that I've got to sell my beloved Alpine White 135i! Already!

Just got a new job that gives me a company car (has to be a diesel with four doors - how p**sed off am I...?), so with only just more than a 1000kms on it, unless I can persuade my girlfriend to take over the payments, the car has got to go.

Obviously I know I am going to take a big hit on selling a four week old car (made slightly easier by a salary hike), but I'd feel (marginally) better about it going if it went to an enthusiast from here. So if anyone in the UK wants to jump the UK waiting list and get a well-specced, well looked after, very nearly new car, please drop me a private note on here before I start advertising it on the UK magazines and websites this weekend.

You've seen the pics of the car before on here before (I can send them again to anyone interested), and you of all people know how great the car is. These are the details:

BMW 135i M Sport Coupe N54. December 2007. Only four weeks old. In as-new condition.

Alpine White, 18inch double spoke M Sport alloys, Black Boston Leather with brushed aluminium trim, BMW Pro Sat Nav, M Sport package inc. uprated suspension, climate control, Xenon headlights and washer system, HiFi speaker package, USB Interface for iPod, Pro CD, DAB radio, electric folding mirrors, heated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, de-chromed - no model inscription and hi-gloss shadow line, auto lights and wipers. Factory alarm and immobiliser. 11 months tax. 3 litre twin turbo, 308bhp, 400nm torque, 0-60 in 5.2 seconds.

The car would cost £35k new in this spec, so I'm looking for the best possible offer.

Thanks guys.

Sad Jack

Congrats on the Job, and sorry about the car. Considering the demand for the 135i you should sell it quickly.

Isn't your company paying for the company car?

Do you have some other concerns about keeping the 1? Anything that we should know about ? ? ?

In any case, good luck!

My new company is giving me a generous allowance towards my new car but if I want anything really good, I have to pay the rest myself. I can't afford to do that and pay for my 135, the tax would kill me and I just don't need two cars. It's just the way it is.

I assure you there is nothing sinister here. Most of you on here know that I've been completely honest about this car in previous posts and I'd still recommend it to anyone. It's a truly great car and I'm absolutely gutted I am having to sell.

So please buy in peace. I just hope you get to enjoy yours longer than I will!!

Crying shame for the car, but congratulations on the job - swings and roundabouts eh?

There's only 2 135i's for sale in the UK at the moment as far as I can tell and they're BMW group stock so have most likely had their arse kicked by every man and his dog, so it'll probably sell the same day you advertise it given your spec.

Mike.

Painful. On the other hand...
May your new job launch you towards something bigger and better (or roughly the same size, but lighter and better, like a Tii) in the years ahead.

Jack, sorry to hear. Off topic question however this looks to be a good way to get your attention. The BMW logo on the brakes...is it just a sticker or is it actually engraved (raised or lowered) into the caliper itself?

Thanks so much and congrats on the new job!

if this car were to be attached to a boat and made its way to me i might feel inclined to attach some money to some wood and send it across the pond:iono:

Why not just ask your company to pay for part of your payments on the 135i .. and everyone would be happy!

if that doesn't work then i'm really sorry you have to let it go ... what a shame.
