Opinions: $48k a good deal on 135i Coupe?

Hi guys, just thought I'd run this by everyone to see how it compares with their experience. I'm shopping for the following:

135i Coupe
6 SPD
Titanium Silver Metallic
Sport seats
Sunroof
Bluetooth

With May's incentive of $2500 alternative delivery credit I was quoted $49,300. Now that the incentive is $3500 I believe I can get the car for $48k just based on the previous quote. I have a Car Cost Canada report which puts the wholesale for this car at $44,220.

According to Car Cost I should take the $44,220 wholesale number, add 3%-6% dealer profit to it and subtract any factory incentives.

At 4% and $3500 off I believe it comes to $42,488. That is WAY below what I was quoted (which even has a bit of discount).

Did I do the math right here? What is a fair quote for both dealer/sa and myself?

Thanks for your help.

Forgot to add tax

Okay, I looked it over again and I don't think the Car Cost Canada report included tax. My mistake.

So $42,488.8 plus 13% tax = $48,012

So I think my original belief that I should shoot for $48k seems accurate. I think this would be a decent deal, what do you guys think?

$48K, tax in, seems fair to me for the equipment level quoted.

It was all but agreed upon that $48.6k would be a go, just need the sales managers approval. I'm still on the fence...never spent that much money before, especially on a car with a question mark over long term reliability. Still, on paper I think it's got everything right but the price. How many of you guys knew instantly after the test drive that you wanted the car? For me that feeling didn't happen but I'd be interested in knowing what you guys thought during the experience.

It seems like everything is in order but with a 48.6K price tag, I'd personally try to get it to 48K flat LOL :P
