Michelin pilot super sport 265/35r18 (needs patch)

This would make a great spare or extra track tire. This is less than 3 months old and not even 3k miles. I was lucky enough to have road hazard coverage when I picked up a screw in this new tire, so the tire shop just put a brand new one on and I asked to keep this one. It is in perfect shape besides needing a patch/plug. These are over $250 new and I realize this one is somewhat compromised, but a good patch repair and this would be good to go. Asking $75 and will ship for free.

That sucks. I've been in the tire buisness for over 20 years. That tire is not fixable. At least to a level that is trustable. The corners and side walls flex so much under load the patch will seperate. That's why they gave you a new tire vs fixing it in the first place. I've had plugs hold better in corners but I'd only put them on my own beater but never on a high performance vehicle. I wouldn't even let my wife drive on one because she doesn't know how to handle the car in case of rapid tire deflation or blow out. Which may happen if the repair fails.

+1. I would not drive on that tire. Sorry.

Thanks for the advice. Scratch that. I will be trashing it. Don't wont to cause some huge accident from a blow out.
