1M vin shows up as an M1 for AAA in CA

Anyone else have this issue? I called to get my new 1M insured and they don't have a clue what it is?

still hasn't hit me I have a 1M

I had the different problem. The VIN number didn't show up. I had to describe the car to them and show them the sales contract. I guess it's so brand new and a bit rare it hasn't register in their system yet.

In the uK my insurance company shows the car as a 2011 M1.

wouldnt an "M1" be A LOT more for insurance, lol...atleast the UK has it right...stupid america.
