Custom quad exhaust help

Hey guys so one of my buddys is a great welder and builds alot of performance parts for cars and he said he can build me a custom quad exhaust however i need some help. Does anyone know the size and where i can get the adapter donut piece that goes from the mid pipe to the muffler? Also he said buying dual exhaust tips would save him time on making the y pipe for them but i dont want to buy some and then find out then wont clear the exhaust cutout on the diffuser so does anyone know where i can get some that will clear? I found these but i think they are to much spread apart to clear http://m.ebay.com/itm/221338582971?nav=SEARCH and last but bot least, had anyone cut the oem diffuser to add an extra cut out for a quad exhaust? Thanks for reading guys and hope i can get some feedback

Maybe these pics will help you think something up. he problem with the 1er is that the battery box gets in the way of the "extra" pipes. You will need to but the 1M battery box. There was a German company that offered a four tail pipe conversion.... but it was very pricey(~2K euros) and it did not work for 135i's bc the exhaust pipes were too small. You will need to do your homework on selecting the proper exhaust O.D. pipes. G.L.
