Yes. The Wheel is powder-coated this color, the original color is Brushed Silver. So you can take off the red.

possible to get some closeups of the damage on the rims? Could be the lighting/angle/etc but some of the pics looks like the scrapes are sizeable (several inches in length).
Also looks like the damage is restricted to just the red stripe around the wheel, is there *any* damage that's more central?

The damage is just around the red from curbing. And they aren't that big, nothing more then 2 inches of length. And that's just one of them that might be that big.
