Finally got the car, and driving up the CA coast. [pics]

Friday, 3:00pm - My dealer calls and says it's ready. WTF!? The web site says it's still on the boat! wooohoooooo! Road trip is back on, baby!

Friday 5:00pm - Had a co-worker drop me off in Long Beach. Waited at the dealership for the windows to be tinted. They reminded me that I can't roll them down for 2 days. Doh! I pay for it, and it's exactly the price they said it would be. No fuss.

Friday 6:00pm - What do you do in LA when you buy a brand new 135i? You sit in traffic. And that's what I did.

Saturday Morning - Left Santa Monica and started winding up the coast. This car is unbelievable.

Saturday Night (tonight) - In a hotel room in Monterey catching up on email and creating this fine post.

Tomorrow I'll drive to my home town and surprise my family and a couple BMW enthusiast friends. They have no idea I pulled the plug and ordered a 135i a couple months ago.

Yeah, it's black inside. With the black headliner, it appears much darker inside than it really is. So the tint, while it's actually pretty conservative, looks a lot darker from the outside.
