I'm keen depending on price, design and where it's located. Is there enough room under the E82 boot matt? I'm planning to put a sub in the left of the boot, so I'd like to keep that space free.

I'm very interested in this. I assume the e88 boot space is similar to an e82 (under the boot mat that is).

Pricing looked pretty good too.
Will it be simple enough to do a self install (being Melbourne based) and only need the tank in the boot? Everything else stays where it is, i.e. the pump.

Peter can you post up a photo of the e82 setup? The e90 pic looked fantastic and I'm pretty sure you'll get interest globally for this kit, I would post in other subforums too.

Definitely will have to see how it is positioned.

I forgot that if the position is the same as the E92 it will be next to the battery

I'm keen to see what it looks like.

Any chance there is a combo group buy on the Advan Cooling Solution and the Custom Meth Tank?

Plenty of people run fuel systems in the boot of cars.

Hey Gents,

I appreciate your interest in this product, unfortunately a few members have expressed concern with regards pricing.

However please be aware that the cost of the "In-Boot Meth' Tank" is for a one-off unit.

This is not something Peter expected to be selling in quantity, which is in contrast to our oil cooler kits, radiators and flywheels that I have priced very aggressively.

The prototype product was completed at the request of a local customer here in Sydney.

We are not making any real money from the components used and are charging accordingly, for the labour required by our in-house fabricator.

The tank components are all of a very high quality and unfortunately for us to purchase them, they cost what they cost.

As an example the "AERO" flush mount cap for the E92 version, is of aviation-grade and it will never leak.

It is supplied by Earl's who source the part directly from England.

Yes we could have used something that cost considerably less, but that is not what the customer requested nor is it Peter's style to fabricate a "one-off" product, to a budget price point.

I have a CM 2.3 gallon "Pro Tank" in the boot of my 135i.

Whilst it has worked well, I welcome a super discreet option such as our prototype tank.

I will most definitely be replacing my not so discreet CM tank, once I have completed the twin-plate clutch upgrade on my 1'er.

Cheers,

JD

Thanks for the update Justin. I hope the custom fabricated E82 meth tank is available soon. There is another member that is getting one made locally for less than half the price, although I'm not sure of it's design yet and whether it will be discreet. I understand these things take time but would like to see something from Advan soon to make my decision.

Also, I've posted in various other threads about Advan's Cooling Solution with no reply yet. I'm very interested.

Where will it fit in the 135? Doesn't look like much room under the carpet for a decent size tank with the battery in there?

Or will you move the battery?

Where do the meth lines run from the tank? Through the car or braided lines under the car?

I would think the battery has to be relocated, there just isn't enough room down there. Not sure what they will come up with but I like the idea of a stealth tank.

Pick up the phone, Peter doesn't use the computer much if at all as he usually has his head under a car or on the dyno.

You can catch him at his desk at lunchtime each day. He'll be more than happy to talk to you and have a general chat about your car/135/335s in general.

Hey mate,

Peter will be looking at the custom "In-Boot Meth' Tank" for the E82 later this week.

I do not doubt you could get a tank done for a hell of a lot less, but I am also quite certain it will not be made to the same exacting standards, that Peter upholds.

I do apologise for not getting back to you with regards the progress of our "Complete Cooling Solution", my bad.

I have been somewhat busy sorting out a fix for the AT owners that wish to purchase our PWR rad' and also finalising the purchase of the OS Giken twin-plate for my own car.

I will soon be taking some pics of the completed Stage 1 oil cooler kit that is currently in my 135i.

Once that is done I will be swapping that out for our Stage 2 (20 row) core and external Mocal 180 degree Fahrenheit setup.

Cheers,

JD.

Hmmm,

I do not think Pete will want to "mass" produce it, but if we can reduce the fabricating costs and price the component based on a minimum order GB, it could get a little more interesting...

Hey mate,

we can actually fit a tank with a larger Meth' capacity in the E82, than we can that of the E92.

There is no need to move the battery.

With regards how the Meth' line is run, that would depend on the requirements of the individual customer.

Once again we will not be moving the battery.

However there will be a requirement to remove the plastic divider that separates the cavity on the left, from the battery well on the right.

The tank "sump" will occupy the vacant well to the left of the battery, this will allow us to increase the tank capacity beyond that of the E92 unit.

A good thing indeed for 1 Series owners, as they tend to modify their cars more heavily than their 335i counterparts.

Cheers,

JD.
