If he finds one, he'll be buying it off a showroom floor which isn't a 1/10 of the suffering that most 1M owners went through.

Damnit!
I know what you mean by the permagrin. It is a real phenomenon. You should get 1. It hasn't worn off yet, people at work compliment me, they say I'm radiant, what am I doing different, did I change my hair, my skin is glowing. It's my secret, but the 1M fountain of youth. PERMAGRIN!!

There are, just trying to find one that doesn't already have a buyer lined up! Most are in the process of being sold, have deposits on them, etc.

Still laughing at BMW of San Fran, btw. They have 2, 1 black, 1 white, fully loaded...they want $75k for each. Nothing like a $20k markup...

Exactly!

Cayman is just completely unrealistic, I need something that can hold a 2nd human being, a pitbull, and two beagles.

You would bring your dogs in the 1M?! The thought of having one dog in my 1M terrifies me, let alone three.

Yeah terrifies me too because I (probably you too) don't have a dog; or you have one but you love your 1M more than the probably neglected (kidding) animal which doesn't look like the case for OP. Most dog lovers are like him and if he uses his car the way the car allows it who are we to get terrified

Get it seriously detailed time to time though OP and make sure they are well fed before they get on board

Look what are we talking before you even get a car, isn't this the nicest Forum ever?!

that would mean there not available. There is NO 1M left in the COUNTRY @ MSRP. Even ones with $5-$10k Above Msrp are hard to find.

+1 lol exactly my thoughts when I read what he typed.

HUGE difference between a car that is available for purchase, and cars that are sitting at the dealer with owners.

I feel fortunate in that I can have a 2nd car for carting my dog around (a APBT). 3 dogs in a 1M =

Someone from this forum has their BSM up for sale in the DC Metro area section of CL. It's above MSRP but below the #s that have been quoted here in this thread so far.

I have a Mini Cooper that is the dog hauler usually, but sometimes they need to go for a ride and I want to take one of the fun cars. Put them in the back, they don't make a mess or anything.

Well, unfortunately MY dealer said, "Many available", which changed later to, "many *in inventory*", which is drastically different.

Looks like I might not be able to get one after all. Boo, Hiss.

Hey, if you like it and you can afford it... Go get it. It's a great car, no question. Personally, if I had some extra cash lying around and wanted something more than the 135i then I'd be looking at the M3. But that's just me...

You could always call those dealers on the west coast and give yourself an excuse for cross country road trip.

I kind of figured this was the case of an ignorant CA. There's not a BMW dealership in the US that is willing to give their 1M to another dealership at MSRP.

First lesson in purchasing any BMW other than a 328 or 528. The vast majority of CA's are completely clueless.

I hate the styling. I hate the stupid black & orange interior, I hate the alcantara accents, I hate the lack of sunroof, I hate the silver exhaust compared to my stock black one, I hate the fact that it's largely just a throw-together model from the M3 and the Z4...

But I love it.

It's everything my 1er is not, namely it makes me smile to drive. The "permagrin", as it were.

I don't know what to do now. I got my 1er for a VERY good price with an almost non-existant APR. I can go get a 1M right now...for 4.99%.

UGH! What to do, internet, what to do?!

change your ID to 135 Anthony... or go and get the 1M.

Seriously.. if you can fine a 1M... get it! It's a collectible.. AND it gives you permagrin. It's a no brainer..

I am officially considering "permagr1n" for a custom tag now.
