how difficult is the install and is there a DIY out there?

It is not that hard. You need one or two removal tools and about 30 minutes -2 hours depending on speed of work. Might want to get more push pins because those break easily. Between 4-5 difficulty out of 10. Anyone can finish it in a hour tops. Send Dan a PM with the info and hop on board. Once 10 people pay he can start painting and shipping them!
Link to DIY: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=218428 A group buy for the bumpers wouldn't make too much of difference because you pay over 200$ freight shipping which would make up for the discount... easier to order at your local dealer and get a discount there, or look on these forums for a used one. Sorry! Updated! 6/10 paid! Painted - Current 10/x 1. Satalite (coupe set : Alpine White) - PAID 2. Derk1127 (coupe set : Alpine White) - PAID 3. Squeegee (coupe set : SGM) - PAID 4. RWolf10 (Coupe set: Alpine White) 5. shemeld_135 (coupe set : SGM) 6. New21er (coupe set: Cashmere Silver Metallic) 7. Nemes1s7 (coupe set : Alpine White [APO]) - PAID 8. Drinkcoke3 (coupe set : LeMans Blue) - PAID 9. IMASINNER (coupe set : Space Gray) 10. RobMason (coupe set : LeMans Blue) - PAID For anyone still interested you can PM Dan your email and last 7 of VIN if you want to jump in on this. It is NOT limited to 10 painted skirts at all. Open to as many people!

Click his signature and it should have it there. If not go to United BMW and look for his dept phone number or whatever he has listed. @ Dan Miles I believe

Just removed my door sills to get ready for the side skirts that will be done and painted tomorrow, BOY do you have to be gentle removing them. Its almost impossible to do it with out breaking some clips, I didnt have the removal tool but I dont know how helpfull it would be, a flat head works fine. I broke 3 total but shouldnt be a problem. I picked up some 3M automotive double sided tape that I used to mount my liscence plate so I gunna use that if need be. Just try and pull them directly up. If you guys want more details let me know and ill do a better DIY write up when I install tomorrow.

They are really cheap push pins. Not sure about the part number but you can ask your local dealer for a small bag of extras because they are most commonly broken part when changing parts.
