Weight

As for weight, I have reduced the weight significantly - I weight 220 lbs, and with me in the car she corner balances at 3111 - that is not bad at all

She was 3400 lbs stock with all the power seats and the sunroof - my car is the first 135i in the USA without a roof - (I think) - it this car was a base model with only power seats as an option -

So I have saved about 500 lbs off the stock car - there is still more to save as I have the radio in her and the door panels - they come off this winter

Truly and awesome track car - I was going to get a 1M but that car is heavy and mine is just as fun

that's a hell of a lot of weight savings.... Good work.

how much has drivability suffered as a result of the weight savings?

how's the in cabin volume and shakes/rattles?

TC Kline's 135i race car had the European-only roof panel sans sunroof, I believe.

Looks awesome, I'd just remove the front license plate and BMW CCA logo for the track.

Looking forward to more pictures, enjoy the car

I am going to assume you say you were slowest because of your driving and not the car, correct? I hope so.......

Updating

Updates

I haven't posted in these forums for quite some time
But here's some news on the car and updates that have been done in the last two track seasons
I am an avid track junky and instructor, and the car now had 120 track days under its belt

I must say - what a monster - no serious issues; just wear and tear
Things I have done

AST 5300 triple adjustable suspension - sick
8 sets of endurance race pads - Carbotech RP2's on Stoptech ST60's - unreal feel
8 sets of R-Comp tires - 285/35r18 Square - RA1's are my favorite so far - maybe Hoosiers next year
Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe and Blowoff valve - to lighten the load on the turbo when lifting - and it keeps the engine cooler
Evolution Racewerks competition intercooler - obvious
Evolution Racewerks competition double oil cooler - needed
Stock Oil Cooler bypass mod - huge improvement for cooling
PWR Custom Aluiminum Radiator - also important for track abuse as these cars run real hot
Full M3 and 1M control arms with ALL solid bushings - even the front lower control arm at the subframe - weird feel on the street but RACE CAR
Yeah that's about it - the key to my build was reliability - so I have not changed the tranny, clutch, diff - still have the stock clutch with 52k miles - yeah baby

Maybe a full cage over the winter months

Pictures later in the day when I have better interent

Final Pics

Here are a few more pictures
They clearly show the double oil coolers
The last four shots are at NJMP Lighting and in two of them one of my good buddies is driving while I ride shotgun in my own race car - scary and cool to see your baby being flogged!
Enjoy and ask lots of questions - I know too much about this car!

Anthony,
good to hear from you and glad to see you charging hard. car looks badass as always but how come you're not racing? also no tune?! why all the hardware if no tune? I am interested in upgrading to the PWR radiator. I had heard there was some fitment issues. any video's from your adventures? you should look me up next time you drop by at summit point. cheers,
