New to me 2012 135i M Sport

Just picked the car up on Saturday. It's an auto 135i M Sport Deep Sea Blue with black interior. Coming from a 2006 Mustang GT, I can only describe the 135 as "refined power"

The car is a ton of fun to drive and I actually enjoy the auto a lot more than I expected. The paddle shifting is pretty quick which was a nice surprise.

Everyone says you'll never want to go back after owning a BMW, and I'm starting to realize why.

I'm looking forward to meeting you folks and learning as much as I can.

Cheers

Welcome and congrats on a beautiful car. Deep Sea Blue is an awesome color. I go back and forth on which color I like better, DSB or LMB. Both look great! There's a wealth of info here, so read on.

I also owned an '06 Mustang GT. Manual Transmission (only way to go with a Mustang imo) and a Saleen supercharger. 475hp. Lots of fun, but my 1er has been my favorite car. I really enjoy the DCT as well.

Welcome and your car has a DCT (dual clutch transmission). That is why its so fast and so responsive. Best trans you can get, other than a manual.

Enjoy!

I had the 5spd as well but nothing close to the 475hp lol. That car will always have a special place in my heart but I'm really loving all the creature comforts the 1er has

So did it already have the airbag recall done? I'm waiting to hear from Princeton BMW on when I can have mine replaced.

Yeah it had the airbag recall done. I specifically asked about it since I just finished getting the Mustangs airbag replace the day before I traded it in.

Only issue with this car is the Flat Tire Sensor keeps popping up as inactive. The car is certified so I just have to make an appointment for them to take care of it

Looks sharp! My previous 135 was DSB and I got lots of compliments on the color. Miss it now.

Yeah, the Stage 2 Saleen supercharger kit really transformed the car. When I first got it installed, I found it difficult to not spin the tires in most gears, but with some practice, eventually got it to hook up nicely. My MagnaFlow glass packs made that 4.6 liter sing a beautiful V8 song. Fastest car I ever owned. Todays 5.0 is much better than that old 4.6 liter though, and I really admire the GT350 with the flat-plane crank V8 but will never go back to a Mustang and will never part with my 135i.

Beautiful car - beautiful color!
Congrats, and Welcome.

Must be something in the 1 that appeals to former Mustang owners. Of course, mine was a '66.

My daughter owned a '66. With the 289 V8, of course.
