Need help please!

I just replaced my valve cover gasket and followed a DIY. Car started fine and I took it for a test drive. Once warm I gave it some gas and it threw a engine malfunction and a DTC error???

Only code pulled was
2A97 Crankshaft sensor, gap failure

Could this be due to a bad gasket install? and loosing pressure?
I tightened everything down to 7lbs but feel this might not be enough...

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Regards,
