carfax report

I ran a carfax report and found out there's saying 'engine serviced'
Is it just common report? or did the vehicle had a problem with engine, so they did some fixing job on engine?

Im guessing you bought the car second hand?

Phone a bmw service center and give them your vin maybe they can tell you what was serviced on the engine unless it was writen down in your log book of the car / manual.

Honestly I don't trust Carfax. I was selling a car I owned since new and the buyer car a Carfax on it.
He showed it to me and all kinds of stuff was showing up on there that never happened.
Luckily it was all minor stuff but I have no idea where it came from.

I had the same issue with Carfax. Bought my 2011 in July with clean report but driver door was repainted for some reason.

I don't trust them at all either. My 2008 135i had $26k in damage from an accident, which I disclosed to potential buyers, but then when I bought the carfax, it was clean and showed no accidents, which was somewhat horrifying.

A good inspection by someone knowledgeable and a good BMW mechanic is a must, unless maybe it's a dealer CPO.

This usually means that the engine oil was changed or "serviced" at the dealer. When the car goes in for a service or other work the dealer reports this under your VIN and then its show up on the Carfax, ie: "Thermostat replaced
Engine/power train computer/module checked", or "Maintenance inspection completed, Front brake rotor(s) replaced Turn signal bulb(s) replaced", "ABS fluid flushed/changed", or it could be a simple input "Vehicle serviced".

On the other hand, I had a bumper repair only on my E90 and it showed up as a "major incident" on my carfax, hurting the value of the car quite a bit. I was parked, damage was minor, I just wanted the whole bumper replaced right.
