If you are not at fault, the insurance can not increase your rates. It is not your fault that you are a victim of two hit and runs in a week. Hopefully the law of averages will catch up with you and you will not cost them anything much in the future.

where did you find the part number? i've been looking everywhere, can't find it.
Sorry Vlad.. just saw you asked for followup now. The part numbers can be found here.

As for epoxy, it's a 2 part glue that you have to mix the two parts together to make an extremely strong glue. Every home center or hardware store should have it. once you glue the parts up, they will not come apart. It would likely break in a different place, if you tried to re-break it in the same area.

Good luck!

i'm not sure about that. just because they may consider it vandalism and me as a high risk customer, they can raise the price. especially since i would put a claim in twice in 2 weeks...

thanks! would this work on a very small area as well? the way it broke it basically ripped off a chunk of plastic from the cover with one of the hooks. so the area i would have to apply epoxy to would be as thin as a CD or a DVD is, but it would go all around it. i'll try it anyway and see.

damn it vlad! You need to hire a security guard to stand in front of your car when you leave it alone. I'm sorry to hear about it, and I'm sure that you are furious right now. It's like you cannot have anything nice. I bet if you were driving a beater, a bird would not even crap on it, nobody would ding it, and if somebody hit it, there would be six witnesses and the driver would leave a note on your car with a blank check. I just don't get it anymore.
