Xenon Bulb Clarification
I have been doing quite a bit of research, but I am really confused on what bulbs I need for my xenon headlights with ahl. I want to upgrade to a 5000k bulb. I am planning on purchasing the Morimoto D1S bulbs from the retrofit source - seems like a good value.
What I am not sure about is whether I also need to buy new bulbs for the actual angel eyes so that I have to buy 4 bulbs total (2 xenon + 2 ae)? Or do the xenons power the angel eyes as well? If I need other bulbs, are those the H8 bulbs? It seems that most people are purchasing Lux H8 or BMS Leds, but I want to keep xenons. |

Left is stock and right are Philips 5000k. Photo shot at night with only A.E on. You can definitely see the difference in colour emitted. The stock left side comes pretty closes to matching the turning signals.
There are a lot more comparison on this thread. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...892802&page=11

The main hinderance for light output is the projector lens that come stock with bimmers. Instead of being truly clear they are optically frozen and drown out its full potential. As for the AEs you have to get different bulbs to match the projector light.
