Track Pad and Brake Pad sensor

I posted a message on the brake suspension board, but then got to thinking so I thought I would ask the track guys. My previous track car, E36 M3 I used brake pad sensors with my PFC 06s. Well for my 135i, I just got the Carbotech XP 10s. Well the brake pad sensors don't fit, at first I thought I got the wrong pads then I did some googling and a lot of track pads don't use sensors. So my question, is it ok to run a pad without the brake pad sensors? If get a warning light I can live with that on the track, but I don't want the car to limit peformance because somehow it thinks I have a brake problem.

Just looking at how the brake pad sensors work, as long as they remain plugged in/put together, whether or not they are attached to the pads is irrelevant, and should continue to "work" (it's a passive system) fine.
Please put up a review of the XP10's once you get a feel for them! They are on my short list for track day pads.

I ended up just zip tieing them up and out of the way. Didn't get any warning lights. So I guess they just weren't made to be attached to the sensor, since they are a track pad. I just did a the bed in procedure for the carbotechs with new rotors. Had the brakes smoking, a lot of bite and torque. Of course this was on the street and the fasted I dare went was 100. I hit the track next week, I'll post a review of them after my track day. I plan to use these rotors and the carbotech XP 10 as my track set up. I'll install them before the track day, drive to the event and then drive home. Changing out to my street set up when I get home. Reason why I got the XP 10s is because people have said they are driveable on the street, at least good enough to get me to and from and event.

I duct taped mine and wrapped them around its own cord in the Z4M.

I monitor my pads so often anyways I don't need a stupid light to tell me that I need to replace.
