I think there are pics in other threads showing how much darker they are, especially in the lower white section.

its subtley darker. if i had an lci car already, i would just opt to tint it using lamin-x lightest shade. ($60 vs. $330 for a similar look)

Where can you grab a set of LCI taillights for just $60? I would get the non-blackline LCIs if I could get them for cheap.

For those of us pre-LCI, the blackline is the most beautiful and economical option, I think.

You don't. It's $60 for the lamin-x film to be applied to an USDM LCI tail light assuming you have a set already.

I've seen LCI lights go for around $200+

Final update:

4/11/15 Today I received the lights from USPS

Install was a breeze. All the lights work fine. However, I do not have that opening and closing sequence when locking and unlocking the car. It just seems to just have turn signals light up only. I have a 03/08 build so maybe thats why?

Nevermind, I had the headlight switch on non adaptive headlight mode (where the headlights move). I do have the sequence. Everything is all good!

Mine has the LCI tail lights already. In my local forum (Canada), I can see it isn't easy to sell the regular LCI lights so I might go the tint route. @1mang Is the backup light and signal (the clear part) darker than the normal? If so, I might ask the tinter to do cut out on the clear portion.

Yes the back up light and signal is darker. I'd suggest using the lightest tint you can possibly get. Cutting out the clear portion might make it look weird and possibly harder to install.

I bought mine almost 2 weeks ago and I dont think they have anything in stock yet, havent heard anything yet.

I was actually lucky enough to receive mine 2 weeks after the Shipped notification (I think these come in through JFK which I'm not far from). I was then unlucky enough to receive one of them damaged with a crack in it. eBay seller has been cooperative though, I sent the damaged one to them, and upon receiving it they're going to ship me a replacement and refund my return shipping cost.

Does anyone have the issue where one light is brighter than the other? It seems the tint inside the housing is also darker on one side.

Wish I could tell you! it was already on the car when I bought it . It's a Hartge exhaust and diffuser.

In the 1st picture it looks like the sun is shining on the left tail light more. The 2ndpicture looks the same to me.

They were supposed to have their shipment of tails come in yesterday or today, keep your hopes up. Its been over a month for me of waiting for just a tracking number.

This pic kinda shows it more clearly, you can see the inside housing of one is more tinted than another. Its more obvious in person

Take them off and check out the part #'s and see if they are correct.
