What the heck is this symbol? [iDrive]

Hey all, forgive me if this is the wrong forum.

For the life of me I cannot figure out what this "-21" refers to. The number seems to change randomly... -7, -13, -4, etc. I can't find it in the manual.

I'm sure I'm going to smack myself when somebody tells me.
