1M for sale
question: I found a 1M for sale here locally in ATL at a Carmax. Asking 48.9k
In August of this year, according to Autochek it had 987 miles on the clock, it now has 24k. Would you all be a bit leery of this? Seems like a WHOLE lot of traveling in a very short period of time. |

200 miles per day, 7 days a week? Or 10 x 24 hour enduros?
I'd be curious how it was used...

Might be a typo (2.4K?), I'd call and ask. Otherwise it's averaging 200 miles a day since the August odo reading.
Anyway the exterior/interior looks fine from the photos, and if you don't mind the miles - it's still under factory warranty. |

Not sure what the big deal is. Yeah, it has a lot of miles on it considering it's age but it's not a paper weight. Its a car that's meant to be driven. Considering the price and the high markup for 1 M's elsewhere it may not be a bad way to go. Also not sure why it's suspect just because someone dumped it at CarMax. BMW dealers have never ripped anyone off?

Agreed, but CarMax is for the owner who will take the financial hit because they need to get out of one car and into the next for whatever reason. Or they don't want to hassle with tire kickers. It's all about making the financial sacrifice for the convenience factor. After sitting in any car for 24k miles in 4 months anyone would be ready to get into something else!

What do you mean, don't all 1m drivers put the car though it's paces, that's why we bought em isn't it. Why should this car be any different. I bought my car for driving, I don't know about anyone else, but that's what the thing was developed for? |
