Part Number Check Please :)
BMW Part Number : 51127892597
Can someone verify or double check me on this to determine if this is indeed a 135i rear bumper cover? And if I bought it I would still need a diffuser and what else to install?

Check it yourself on RealOEM.com ! After you enter the parts database there is a window where you can look up part numbers and see which cars that part is for.

You can also look at the price for the Performance rear bumper. It's the exact same part and includes everything you need in one kit. Not sure if it works out cheaper or not, but it's certainly easier.

I think the performance part is around 550$ with everything? + paint would be around 750-800$... BUT I do have a coupon for 15% off Maybe I will try that out!

you only need 4 things.
bumper diffuser left plate right plate plates are different from 128, so you need 135i plates, they are installed on the chasis so you can fit the bumper. And they only cost around $14 or so..... each |

Thanks! I read on a thread above this that someone used the 128i plates to mount his 135i bumper and works... So I am not sure, I mean a 28$ isn't a big deal to me.

I don't think they would. They are plastic or metal? I would think that the main "bumper" would protect the car if anything...

I think ppl are calling these "egg crates" becaus they look like one. The "egg crates" mount the airbag sensors... from what I have read here. So... they are kind of important to have the correct ones for your bumper/type.

A while back (last year) there was a forum member with a white 128i who bought a rear 135i bumper (painted) from Dan@United. He posted a DIY. He wrote the egg crates held an airbag sensor. ? At least that is what I remember. |

Talked with Dan and he said I would need this PN: 51120442896 the one above is just the bumper cover I think... the one right here is the entire retrofit kit.
