Cool so he was no help at all. If you look at the commercial sales section they have many threads of wheels in 1er fitment that will not rub at stock height. VMR V701 and V710 in either 18" or 19" would work just fine.

Do you HAVE to have red rims? If so you are powdercoating...so it doesnt matter what color they are originally...second if you want rims lighter than stock that don't rub your choices are limited..look to
Breytons
Advans
Volks

Well i think ive made a decision but id like some thoughts from all you wise people! Ive settled on the Apex ARC-8 rims... 18 X 8.5 in the front and 18 X 9.5 in the rear. With 225/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. Im still on the fence as to powdercoat or not... does it weaken the rims? Anyone feel free to chime in!

thanks guys

You should try to drop the rear profile to 35 or else your rear setup will be a good bit taller than your front. Otherwise sounds like a great choice. The Apex allows the most rear rubber, great weights, sturdy wheel. I'd probably go with whatever color Apex allows then have them powdercoated a year or two later to a new color and to make them look new again. Tons powdercoat rims so it must not weaken them much if at all.

Get the 269 or 313 rims and you won't have to worry about offset, I'm running PS2 on my current set up.

What he said, 35 rear...also don't powdercoat until you put them on the car..drive them around for a while..especially if your powdercoating them red lol..let that sink in for a while....good choice on the wheel though
