Le Mans blue US Roll Call

Just wondering who here has Le Mans blue orders pending, coupe or vert, what interior color and trim you went with, and expected delivery date (if available).

Feel free to include options if it blows your hair back.

Are they any already on the ground yet?

Yes, I know! I've been lurking in the weeds for about a year and frankly you mates down under have been driving me looney with your pictures. I've been jello's of you dudes since that Day 1 you mentioned.

I tried to get a LMB E46 M3 special ordered during the last production year (2006), but NA in its infinite wisdom told me to take a hike son.

I love its true-blue sapphire type nature. I have an R32 in Deep blue pearl, but while very lovely, it's still just one shade lighter than I like.

LMB hits all the right notes for me. Just need to figure out what color interior to go with.

3 months and still somewhat undecided. I'm sure I'll be perseverating right up until it goes Status 111 or 112 (sorry, can't remember what the last change status is).

Lightly optioned! A man after my own heart. Just wondering though since you live in the Wolverine State won't you be missing not having the bun warmers? Or will this not be your daily driver?

And one month to go. How are you gonna keep from biting all of your nails off before then?

Honestly, i would have gone lighter but I needs me some llumbar support. As far as butt warmers, no need since the plan is to be the fun car. Daily driver is a 99 Audi A4 2.8 slow-matic.

A month to go is nothing, I originally placed the order back in Sept! Once LeMans blue + M-sport became available is when the sleepless nights began.

What are you planning to order?

Now you've got me thinking. I have an R32 as our DD, and it fits the roll to a T. Heated seats are really nice in this part of the country, but if you only drive it on weekends or to work on really nice days are they really necessary? More perseverating to come on this option for sure.

September? You must be a psychic or moonlight as a palm reader. I thought it wasn't announced until early December that LMB was a go for us Yanks.

Well, if I had to go with what I know right now it would be as follows:

135i 6 speed
Le Mans blue
Lemon Leather (Priority 1)
ZMP
Heated Front Seats
iPod or Sirius (I have Sirius in my VW and am hopelessly hooked on it, so it may come down to a best 2 out of 3, or 3 out of 5, or 4 out of 7, or 5 out of...........well, I'm sure you get the idea......coin flip).

But what I know seems to change as often as the wind blows lately.

Regarding heated seats, you hit the nail right on the head. My plan (sometimes changes with emotion) is to drive the 1 yet save her from the terrible elements of MI weather; enormous piles of salt and arizona desert size pot holes. Therefore, giant salt licks dont typically occur in the summer/spring.

My task will be to avoid driving her when I know my right foot will be begging me to do so.

I originally ordered BSM w/ coral red; however, as soon as I heard about the LeMans + ZMP I couldnt resist!

If you arent worried about resale, then toss out the heated seats. Honestly, a finely kept LMB (like your IR ZHP) will be sold quite easily in the future.

I am sure we will be in the minority here. My wife and I are picking up her Le Mans Blue 128 M-Sport in Munich on May 23.

LMB would have been my 3rd choice, after BSM and SGM, had it been available! I love the color, and would have been my first choice no matter what, had my previous car (honda element) not been fiji blue pearl, which I think is honestly a beautiful color blue in itself!

Ooh! Ooh!

That's the money interior choice imo. A provocative and bold choice.

And that might be the production week I would probably be looking at.

Strict imposition of a ban for a violation of the informal 12 hour rule for posting pics from BMW Welt will unanimously be recommended if you do not comply.

A minority in that you are getting a 128 as opposed to a 135?

If so nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't mind having a 128 at all. I wish the fog lights from the 128 could be used on the 135.

Plus it's a super value call. Great real world performance for the money.

You rightfully should be jacked up about it. And ED is just icing on the cake.

I already have an Orient Blue (if unfamiliar to you think Monaco blue but a wee bit lighter and with more metallic sparkle) 3er Touring and a Deep blue pearl R32, but while both are lovely to behold neither quite has the snap of LMB in my eyes.

I don't mind if I'm singing the blues everyday if we add LMB to the family stable. I don't believe I'd ever be singing "The Thrill is Gone".

Thanks, I know there is nothing wrong with it. Even at the above invoice deal I am getting it is still $4000 extra.

If it was my car and not my wifes I think I would go for it.

We all are lucky to be able to get something a little more unique than the standard 1 series colors.

Yes, ED is great and this will be our second.
