"So, basically you're saying that you need to buy respect."
No, Im saying why don't people be reasonable instead of sniviling little penny pinchers. Respect is earned...didn't I read that somewhere before?

i am so confused, wasn't this thread about helping me get a good deal. Some of us can't afford to just drop $40,000 whenever we want the new BMW (read, i am still in college). I appreciate all those people who are trying to help me.

Sorry man, your right. Im sure you can grind them to $1000 over invoice but the sevice department and salesperson are PROBOBLY GOING TO RUN when they see you coming. My whole point is how we get treated after we buy the car. I'm sure you'll get treated fine but will they know you name, or make an exeption for a loaner car?
Im starting to sound like the Cheers theme.
Good luck with Collage Bub.

No, they won't. Unless you ask for that kind of deal like a douche. I'm sure if you explain that you're a serious customer willing to buy that day, with no bs, they'll appreciate your business. Now if you give them bad marks on the JD Powers survey...

I accidently thought that I had to be honest for the survey, and honestly filled it out. Then I realized what I had just done.

Garage List
Hmm.. sounds like Chapman BMW.. Rich Hoferichter, the internet guy perhaps? He sold me my car, similar deal, maybe slightly better discount on mine. I was happy with the numbers as they were below the Edmund's "target price" for the Phx area, and I was treated extremely well with ZERO bullshit. Their doc fee is high but as you said they don't try to stick you with MACO, advertising, or any other BS fees that are nothing more than added profit into the deal. This is my 2nd car from Chapman (other is my R32 from next door) and I've been treated extremely well on both sides, including the service departments. That's worth not grinding every last nickel out of them to me.
