Warning sticker on windshield - removal
Has anyone removed the non-BMW accessory warning sticker from the upper-lefthand interior of the windshield? Is using a razor the best bet to get this thing off my windshield? Has anyone done it without leaving any sticky stuff? It will annoy me to no end if I take it off and can't get it completely gone.

You can try the razor. You can use also a hair dryer or heat gun to dissolve the adhesive and peel it off quite easy. Use a little benzine on a towel to fully remove any residues.

I removed my sticker as soon as I got it. I actually used my finger nails to pull it off. The residue came off with a little 409 and a paper towel. Now I can sleep at night!

Finger nail. Did it last night just cuz i saw it and didn't like it. A little residue is left where you started to pick at it, but you can capture it by just resticking/unsticking the removed sticker over the area a few times. Took about 20 seconds total. Will post a DIY soon.
(j/k on the DIY)

I am pretty sure you could buy the sticker at the dealership if you wanted to... I noticed the other day that realoem has partnumbers for the stickers and labels...

That you can. Most people do not go through the trouble to do so after a windshield replacement. |

I started to do it with my fingernail but it looked like it was going to make a mess so I stopped before it was all messed up. I will do that and then try the 409 to get the glue off. Thanks.

Speaking of stickers, I don't have vinyl sun visors so it doesn't look like removing the air bag warning without damage is possible. Is there a change to the headliner materials for the 330 or is it a post sept build thing? Instead of the mouse fir, I've got the cheese cloth stuff like I used to have in my Audis. Same material for the sun visors.
Strange or normal? |

I peeled it off then I used Tarminator. Cleaned right up. It really is an ugly sticker. I also dislike those annoying oil service stickers that people apply to their winshield.
