Ordered from Schmiedmann and got this after payment...

Delivery to (CPT) Raleigh Airport not including customs clearing , duties and taxes
268.51 USD minus 58.28 USD ( already paid) = total due 210,23

I will send a link for credit card payment and I kindly ask you make the payment or advise if you would like to cancel the order for a full refund.

Why would I have to pay all this extra money for something I already ordered? Based on the threads I've been reading, no one else has had to pay this absurd amount of money for shipping. I thought they were the US vendor? Or am I wrong on that?

You ordered a bumper?

Their webstore is probably set up for international sales but they probably do not have it set up to properly calculate shipping or prohibit large orders like bumpers for orders. There is no way they could ship a bumper for $58. Their adjusted $268 freight charge seems a lot more realistic.

They're based in Denmark. International shipping on a bumper is expected to be outrageous. You can probably order from your local dealer and not pay shipping at all, can't you?

Yea man, shipping for a bumper is quite abit more than Blacklines or something smaller. Thats actually fairly cheap for internationally shipping an entire bumper.

yup, i sell boat parts online and my sites only calculate US shipping and international people always get mad... unfortunately its a ton of work to make the site calculate for other countries and its not worth while since they wont order once they see the price
