i'm with you bud. i think it'll be a tossup between zr1 and gtr for 1st. i'd give us a little more credit tho, esp if they factor in price. that'd knock the gallardo/sl63/rs6 down a notch.

I'll be surprised if the 135i wins it, but it's very cool to have even made the list.
Like most other people I'm guessing it will either be the GT-R or the ZR1. A few months ago I would have said the GT-R wins hands down (based on all the positive press), but I think the transmission/launch control issues have given them a black eye recently, which may put the ZR1 on top. |

Don't be so sensitive. It's not that the guy didn't respect the 1 series or any BMW. Didn't he say he was glad bmw won? Yes, I'm sure those 59 journalists based their decision on the attitude of M3 owners. It has won in just about every comparison review I have ever seen so maybe they were fed up with that. Or, maybe the 1 series is really a better performance vehicle than the m3. Maybe I should finally bite the bullet and trade it in for a 135i. Don't be a playa hater...hate the game or just play the game.

I think the 135i provides a good amount of performance for its price, its a good overall package for its price point, its a car of all trades I think . That why I think it made the list and not the M3

But isn't performance what the list is about - not looks? The 1 is a great car, but I don't think it made the list because of looks. |

Most of the cars on that list have a huge bang for the buck factor, inclusive of the 135i and GT-R. M3 is a phenomenal car, but the M3 has not really ever been in a bang for the buck category.
I'll agree that it is a weird list though. |

I agree with Larryn, if they didn't factor in value or 'performance per dollar' then there would be some ferrari's, maybe an r8 or a veyron or however it is spelled.
I like the m3 a lot, but a like $70k much more. $40k is still reasonable for what the 135i gives you/can give you(mods). Too much of that $70k is status IMO. *Warning: OT(ish) rant* I get enough comments like "Wow, you must have a lot of money to blow since you're driving a bmw." If I drove a new M3, I would probably think they were actually on to something. The ironic thing is, it is usually some army guy who spent 50k on his jacked up truck that is now worth 15k, not to mention all they ever do with their jacked up truck is drive to and from work on dry paved roads with no snow. Idiots.

Hell it won Jeremy Clarckson's car of the year award. If the ZR1 can do that, hell it can do anything. but I think the 135i deserves a decent place on the final list.
