Drawer in trunk?

What is this drawer in the trunk below the rear deck I read about. Is it country or vehicle specific. I have a 330i that will be here in two weeks.

I use it for my laptop, schlepping it to work and back every day.

Note, it's not as big as you might think, so bring your laptop and it's case before you decide to buy it, as mentioned it's an aftermarket piece of kit that your dealer will have.

It rattles a bit when the laptop is in there, but I haven't tried to fix it either, it's probably something quick to fix.

Try laying a folded towel or something in it and put the laptop on that.
