Official Sponsor: TWD - The Weekend Detailer - For All Your Detailing Needs!

Starting back in 2014, I thought I'd make a new thread which will continue on from the original thread here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...639305&page=13

I had retracted my commercial sponsorship for over a month, so the thread got locked.

On to the new year....and looking back, we've had some interesting cars over the last few years, namely all the prestige marques. All sorts of paint finishes, solid colours, metallics, matte/satin finishes and carbon fibre.

For the enthusiasts that know of our work, you'll know that we work on the Prestige, European and Exotic car market and from simple maintenance washing to all out concourse preparation, we can do it all. We can provide car care products and general advice as well regardless of state or country.

Some of our favourites times of 2012 and 2013 include:

- E46 M3 prepared for Meguiar's MotorEx and taking out Best Modified Euro class
- E46 M3 prepared for Showcased event and taking out Euro class
- Ferrari 360 CS prepared for Ferrari Concours taking out most points in show
- Testing sealants on various VO 1Ms
- One of the pioneers of Nanolex Matte in Australia - testing on Nemesis Lamborghini SuperLeggera and Frozen BMW M3
- Concours Preparation of Ferrari F40 for annual concours
- New car paint protection on Lamborghini Aventador

Plenty of more fun to be had in 2014...

Thanks to everyone who supports TWD and looking forward to meeting many more enthusiasts and catching up with the usuals!

Car: 2009 BMW E92 335i

Service: 2-3 stage paint correction; Interior clean and leather condition; Engine bay detail

Comments:
- After spending some time in a paintshop, deep holograms and swirls were added to the paintwork.
- Holograms and swirls really mask the BLACK colour of the car, but clarity & depth needs to be restored to appreciate the true colour.
- Various marks and stains on the interior.
- The photos don't do the results justice, but again, another happy owner

Just so you know what some of our own cars look like, here are some pictures of the 2013 BMW Club concours (we did not enter for judging)

Car: 2009 BMW 135i

Service: Stage 1 Paint Correction, General Interior Clean & Engine Bay

Comments:
- Car is being prepared for sale
- Wheels suffered from caked on brake dust and road grime
- Interior full of dust and dirt
- Exterior paint was dull and suffered from heavy contamination and moderate swirls
- Gloss restored to Alpine White paintwork, interior rejuvinated and engine bay was deep cleaned and various aspects of the car detailed to present as new
- Unfortunately not many after outdoor after photos as it was raining, but the owner was very happy with the outcome

Mine is the Sapphire Black on beige E92 in the first post.

Photos do not do justice to how bad the swirls and holograms were on the car. I'm one of Raj's more fussier customers I expect and I just could not believe how amazing the car looked when I arrived to pick it up. I have used one of the most popular detailers and product suppliers in Sydney prior to coming to see Raj and I can categorically say that the gloss and depth of colour and clarity was much better after TWD's treatment. As I said I was really amazed at how much better a result Raj got.

I have 4 cars including my E92. 1 is a show car, so I would like to think I know what a perfect paint finish looks like. TWD is a must use if you want the best paint and general detail results. He is also a great guy to boot!

I was wondering who's 335i that was, she looks bloody fantastic after that detail!

Looks like you need a more regular leather cleaner routine mate (beige interior is a bugger to keep clean I know, but regular maintenance is the key!)

Depends....but most of the time a sealant does the trick. Can be topped with wax too but depends on car/requirements

Yep I have detailed plenty of cars over here in Perth. Just wanted to see what your preference was as most detailers I have met find a product (or series of products) and stick to them.

At the moment I really like Wolfs Hard Body and Seal and Shine. Sometimes topped with Dodo juice Blue velvet pro like you suggest

Yep, that Wolf's combo is great and we've used it on quite a few cars.

Otherwise our synthetic sealant of choice is by Duragloss....an example is in the next post.

Car: 2012 Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG

Service: Stage 1 Exterior Paint Correction; Interior & Leather Condition

Comments:
- Diamond white paintwork was good but lacked lustre and depth
- Interior was okay but leather needed a good clean and condition to remove any grease from the natural leather
- Wheels and Calipers also detailed to bring contrast to the car
- Reflection and gloss were restored to the exterior, and an "as new" finish on the interior.
- With all the various details - pearl white paint, gloss red calipers, chrome highlights this car looks menacing on the road!

Love your work

Serious question - How many confirmed numbers do you need for you to fly up to Brisbane to work your magic?

Thanks guys. To be honest, with the limited availability we have and the demand in Sydney, we're quite hard pressed to go interstate at this stage...never know what the future holds though...

F30 328i Mineral Grey - Exterior & Interior

Car: 2013 BMW F30 328i Sport

Service: Stage 1 Paint Correction & Hard Body, Interior & Leather condition

Comments:
- This car was coated in February 2013 and returned back to us after 12 months for an annual detail and reapplication of Nanosealant.
- Generally in great condition, the car arrived in a dirty state both inside and out.
- The initial beading was not too bad but the car needed decontamination to reveal its depth and emphasize metallic flake
- Interior was rejuvinated as well and interior panels, surfaces and leather were all restored back to a factory finish
- The car was used as a wedding car the next day and apparently was the talk of the town!

Few pictures:

Beading before we started - 12 month old HardBody on daily driven vehicle:
