It's not over simplified but perhaps beyond your intellectual grasp. A fully loaded M3 simply has a higher MSRP than the 1 M. For the general public they would agree that the higher priced M3 would have more value than the lower priced 1 M if they had $84,635 to spend and their choice of a 1 M or M3.

No doubt. The belt-line, flared rear fenders, and the whole upright 3-box design is similar in a less refined, in-you-face sort of way. I wonder how serious GM is with this concept. They are probably gauging interest in buyers who want a Camaro, but can't afford one.
