Looking to Buy a Second hand a 135

hey guys,

I guess i am in one of those mental states, where I need a change..

so if anyone who is looking at selling their 135 COUPE, hit me up and PM me..

But please, the only 2 things i need in the car is;

1) IT MUST BE MANUAL

2) Sunroof..

so to all the 135 owners, jump on board and sell your car to me instead of the dealer, who would not only offer you less money for your car, but also rip you off in a trade in for a new car & sting you with the finance..

Cheers & Good Luck!

Ronnie

People are asking crazy money for used 135i's at the moment, IMHO. Why'd you pay $75k minimum for a 2008 135i when you could have a 2007 Z4 or a 2002ish E46 M3 for $50-$70k with low kms? For a bit of bling you could even get a Ferrari Mondial or Ferrari Dino 308! Or you could land a 996 911 Carrera for the best of both worlds. Expectations of 135i sellers need to be realigned before they'll shift, especially in the current climate. $65-70k is far more realistic for a 2008 135i coupe - they're approaching 2 years old afterall. Just IMHO of course.

...because asking prices are out of whack, all those people asking $75k will be lucky to get $60k if they went to a dealer, so a fair private sale price is probably closer to the low to mid 60s rather than 10k higher...

Good question. I could sell the parts individually and then sell the car as a stock car. But I prefer to sell the car with all the parts, then whoever who buys it can take everything out if they want. I am looking at $75k with all the goodies in the car, which as you may have guessed cost me a shet load of money. Anyway, if people want to commit to buying parts, let me know. If I have enough interest on the parts, then maybe I will sell the car stock.

Actually I am not even sure if I want to do this haha.

(Taka, I will have no car for Dutton Vic if I do this! I do have my sight on a new car, but it will be too new to race and that is if it arrives in time at all)

You wanna buy a few of my goodies? They have only done a few thousand k's as the car itself has only done 9,000km! Or just cancel your order and take my car! I'll refund you your deposit haha.

Checkout the Porsche thread on the tex for my next car haha. No, not a GT3 this time just yet.

Guran, first model release cars (say May 08 dependent on options of course) sit in the mid 60's, mine is September 08 ie 16 months old now with some options, nav/roof/audio/heated seats.

To be honest my pricing is dropping in line with the payout, my decision, I just can't afford to throw cash into the payout ATM. I have dropped the asking price at around $1k per month over the past four months where it is now at $73,900 (down from my inital ask of $79k in September). I have knocked back, some would say unwisely, 3 offers in December at $72k but I couldn't make up the payout delta so declined.

It now sits as the 2nd cheapest 135 on Carsales (cheapest Manual) and the cheapest one on Drive. It will sell but I won't be letting it go for less than I want, I will just keep paying the lease while it sits deatailed under cover and not driven (200km travelled in the past 4months).

In early May 2009 I bought a late May 2008 135I 6MT with ~20,000kms with almost all highest options except heated seats and active steer (Prof nav, sunroof, full control seats, comfort access, adaptive lights etc.) in very good condition for $67k. Original owner payed $94k. It cost me just over $70k with rego changeover and renewal for 12 months rego. It had also just been serviced. Oh... and I bought it through my company, and it was sold by a company, so claimed 10% GST back... which I will have to add when I sell .

Just info for others here. Unfortunately I have not seen any others as cheap since. I will probably sell in about 9 months (with 6+ month warranty left), and would be wrapped to get $60k then.

I missed getting one for 60k last month...it was a 2008 black on black, with sunroof and idrive (GPS), advertisied by a pvt guy from sydney, we agreed on the price and everything only to find out later that a dealer from NSW went to him with the cheque tha same afternoon and bought the bloody thing..

ohh well...

I am still looking though!

Prices will come down. Even though there are many at high prices, I don;t think many are selling. As an owner I would like to think that the prices are realistic, but I don't think many are moving. Atleast that seemed to be the case when I bought mine. Mine was the only reasonably priced one available. What is the list price from BMW currently. When I was in BMW Parramatta recently there was one on the floor for $104k.... If that is what they go for now, than maybe the prices are realistic??

Depends on options, you can easily get over $100k list on a 135i if you go berserk with the options.

However, you do need to take into account that discounts of around $10k off list price were available at the end of last year, maybe even more this year after the tax breaks have expired.
