BMW 135i catches Ferrari and tries to contain it!
This is one of my first videos when I started tracking in 2014. This particular event was when I discovered the 135i was more than just a great daily driver. To my surprise, it was quite capable on the track with some aggressive trail-braking. It was all stock except for M3 arms/bushings, Quaife LSD, Dinan camber plates, and RS3 tires. It was my very first time at Thunderhill Raceway, and the track had recently opened its newly expanded 5-mile configuration. Some now refer to this configuration as "Thunderschleife" because of similarities to Nurburgring Nordschleife with its elevation changes, wide variety of corners, and its new length, which makes it the longest in North America. I'll say that chasing a Ferrari was more fun than I thought And here are a couple more fun videos, in case you missed it in the General Discussion Section. I should have posted them here in the Photos and Videos section in the first place: BMW 135i vs. M4 and Corvette Stingray original discussion thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1232571 BMW: All Hail The King of Laguna Seca! original discussion thread: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1241573 Last edited by 1spirit; 07-16-2016 at 01:17 PM.. First Time Drifting on the Track!
Here's my first try at drifting on a circuit, and why people get hooked to this crazy activity is starting to make sense. The wet conditions caused for a much slower pace on the track, providing for a perfect opportunity to practice and learn. As I'm not confident in my drifting skills at the moment, I proceeded with each slide as slow as possible. My irreversible path towards hooningdom may have begun... Thanks! Yeah the conditions couldn't have been better suited for sliding around. And the tires had hardly any wear. Unfortunately, these events are rare where they allow drifting on the track. Maybe there's just not enough demand.
