Zimmerman replacement front rotors.

Does any one know if Zimmerman replacement front rotors comes with a aluminum hat like the stock front rotors. All info and pics don't seem to show that it does.

They look all shinny like Alu to me. But I never took at magnet to one. I'll have to do that.

Btw... I would really stick with BMW rotors. I have learned the hard way that the OEM rotors just aren't made like OE (bmw) ones. The bmw rotors are pricey, but they don't warp like aftermarket ones do. This year I have put ATE and Bosch rotors on my heavy five series(e39) and now I am gonna put some OE bmw rotors on. The Autobahn isn't kind to brakes.

+1. I just check my rotors today, the rotor hats are indeed alloy(alu) while the rotors and brake calipers(harmonic weights) are made from metal.

For what it is worth I have run Zimmerman rotors (Carbotech pads) for about 10 track days, plus driving to and from (400 miles round trip) and have had no issues, not sure how that translates to daily driving. (2009 135i)

Thanks for the update. I went with OEM all around. Maybe next time I will go with the Zimmerman However it's hard to find rotors with an aluminum hat that isn't drilled and slotted or to expensive.

Some other BMW models use ATE rotors and Textar brake pads as OEM. So maybe there is ATE Sport rotors which was for other BMW models they are slotted not drilled.

So possible that there is alternative from ATE.
