JB3 Map 5 with 91 Octane - Who's had success?

So, I'm thinking of trying out Map 5 on my JB3 with 91 octane(highest I can get in CO here), but would rather not throw codes and deal with having to clear them. (I do have a BT tool, but I've never had to use it)

Mods are the JB3 1.4 and BMS DCI. Should have the AA axle back soon.

How many of you have had success using Map 5 (1.4) with 91 octane and never throwing codes? If you answer, can you post your altitude too?

Thanks!

I would direct that question to Terry. There are some folks that run map5 with 91, but you do increase your chances of throwing codes from what i have read. Do you visit the forum N54tech.com? Has lots of good info on stuff like this

it was working fine for me, until one day when temperatures were about in the 70's and third gear completely started rolling back timing... since then i don't use map 5.. im going to upgrade intercooler, charge pipe and meth, then try map 7 or 8 on 91.

To be safe- don't do it, from personal experience..it will work fine 95% of time, except with outside temperatures starts to go up and u put load on the engine.
