Fair enough.. was just wondering... I'd love to put spacers on mine but I'm seriously nervous about what that could do to insurance if I was to have a serious accident and an assessor found them on the car...

Oh, and I was aware of the Porsche... Yes, very odd...

PS: Pics!?!?

I understand that the Verstrabe are lighter than those.

Will post pics, but photos don't really capture the visual difference and the aggressive stance. It is due to the camber plates that I needed to do this as looked terrible. A drop would have solved the issue and given the require camber, but I think the 1M suspension is solid and a few who have dropped say the car handled better on OE suspension

Insurer has no problem with spacers as long as hub centric and less than 15mm

pics don't do justice to the increased stance though, but gives you an idea

The trick to trouble free spacer install is to take a wire brush rotary bit to the hub to remove all rust, then apply anti-seize to the lip. I applied to the inner too just as a rust preventative (never apply anti-sieze to hub/brake hat face though)

Installed the ECS front rotors today at home. 4 hour job. Look to be way better quality than OE (although that's not hard). Added a new set of DS2500 pads too as old ones where 30% worn.

Lol... thanks mate. Where the photos from the run?

Install was hard & dirty work, but I have the hang of it now. At least if I do myself I know it has been done properly (as opposed to BMW dealer)

Also bleed my own brakes now. All easy stuff really. Save money too

I didn't see it, but I was wondering what your alignment specs are?

Thanks. I'm trying to setup my car on stock suspension with camber plates. Seeing what others are doing.

Awesome build thread. Great info. Would you pick the ETS intercooler again or go with different one? Same question on the CP also?

ETS is a great product and good value IMO. It was one of the few that has dyno test numbers behind it. No cutting and easy install

The Evolve FMIC is very nicely made and super light as tube & fin, but no proven numbers and stupidly over priced. The others on the market, incl ETS, are all bar & plate and much heavier than stock.

Re CP, ER is the only logical choice.

+1 on the ETS. Very satisfied with the results and the fitment. Bought one for two mates as well. They also had no problem with fitment or the numbers. Quite glad it doesn't weigh much more than stock either and is one of the only ones that fit without cutting + includes a lower charge pipe replacement.

Shitload of numbers about it too. Came Ian///M recommended :P The only other logical one is Forge IMO as it retains OEM clips (but no lower charge pipe)

I also have ER charge pipe as its the only one that has the center mounting bracket.
