Built Week = Week 16

I am still patiently waiting - but I've just found out the car would be built in week 16.

Anyone else have the same built week?

I would assume both would be built on the same week... but then again the email I got from my sales only said your car and not cars. As long as I found out mine that's most important

hmmm... just counted the weeks - next week is week 16

. Does it sound right for June delivery then? Unless he meant built week 16 which might not be next week....

Mine was apparently built in the first week for Jan 2009 so I assume built week and calendar week are the same. I believe the ship doesn't sail till the end of each month (and it takes 4-6 weeks) so June sounds right.

Well it depends when it loaded on the cargo ship. It does take a good month from Germany to Australia. Mine took South Africa route and it takes 1 month and a half.

Even it arrives on 20/4. It will take a week or so to get compliance in Levaton.... (spelling?)

There's quite a few boats scheduled for April - check it out here.
This tells you when to start hammering the tracking site to see if your car got loaded on a boat yet.

I had a week 16/2008.. Car was delivered 2nd of June..

My car is scheduled for the 16th week as well! Dealer said it would be about six weeks until delivery... which puts it somewhere around the end of May/early June. I hope it gets there sooner...

Update!! My wife's 125i was actually built in week 14, but I was told it would probably come at the same time... I forgot to ask them for the VIN...

ta. I ordered mine 13/3 (friday 13th...) so it'll be interesting to see the difference in arrivals.

Interesting observation.....
sparoz ordered on 27/2, and has Build week 16 - just over 6 weeks between order and build.
I ordered on 26/3, and have build week 17 - just over 3 weeks between order and build.

I wonder if there's a dropping off in order volumes for the 1er. Or perhaps they're getting on top of a backlog of orders caused by the factory closures around xmas.

The 125i was actually week 14 as well - but that's probably has got something to do with scheduling?
