i wish we had the 123d here. would be a great car to get for my wife. actually for that matter i wish bmw put the 335d's engine in the 1er as the basis for the M1 hatchback.
then again, in the words of the great mr. powers, "i wish for a toilet seat made out of solid gold, but its just not in the cards is it?" |

In Belgium to register a 135i costs €5000. 123d is only €2500 as it is based on CO2 output. Also GST here is 21%. And I don't know how much the import duties are but based on the fact the car is much more expensive here than in Germany I suspect it is quite a lot. Still I'm not complaining too much as the same cars in the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden etc cost MUCH more. Hmmm just worked out how much tax I pay excluding tariffs and import duties... €10,000! Around $18k. sigh.

Oh I agree that the change has improved on the looks of this car, my biggest complaint was always the headlights and the tail lights. Headlights have been resolved to a good extent and the tail lights have improved a lot in my eyes, but could have flowed better. I am liking the sculpted hood and the new front end. Oh and I definately love the 'non-fat' chrome lip on the grille, oh wait there is none yay!

Yes, it would...chipped would see over 200kw and maybe as much as 600nm = very interesting in a 135 coupe, think it's time for a proper LSD with all that torque
I don't think it's a TT though, single turbo AFAIK :iono: |

Would've seriously considered the 123d if available at the time.
Given the car is my "daily", with the occasional "squirt" for fun, it would've suited me fine. Given I'm getting around 12.5-13L/100k, 6 or 7 sounds much better. And it's not so much the money side, but better for the environment (Sorry, but true)
