One of the guys that was there posted on the original E46 dyno thread (first post of this thread, page 4). He paints a completely different picture than the media has.

Maybe we shouldn't pass judgment on what happened. We weren't there.

HOLY ____!!! At the last minute, I decided to head on home after the dyno day was over, instead of going on the planned drive.

Pretty freaked out right now. This is my first hearing of it, since I've been in NYC since Sunday. Got home late last night.

My prayers go out to the pedestrian's family, as well as to Dave, who is one of the most stand up guys I've ever met. I'm speechless.
