And here's a real glamour shot...was the guy dropping the camera?! Really shows off the proportions well.

Matching rear shot to boot, no pun intended. Hahaha! these are ridiculous!

Are they trying to sell this LMB one or are they trying to make you run from it? With those angles they'd almost have to pay you to buy it. Poor baby… those pics just do not do it justice. Tragic.

LOL! Hideous. They obviously just want to keep it on the lot and drive it themselves for as long as possible. If you're going to show the beast from the rear angle, then at least try and make it look like this:

Yeah, those two end shots would be better ads for Weight Watchers than anything else -- makes the whole car look bulbous. UGly.

I know that picture. It's from Autoblogs really good review of the 135is. Some really great pics in that review. That's the way a LMB E82 should look!

I would have been better off just writing a check to the body shop for $1100.
Rick,

Don't you love insurance? I know how you feel and have a similar story. A few years ago, my car was parked in a virtually level parking space but rolled slightly back while I was away (driver error, forgot to put parking brake on ) and tapped the bumper of a Toyota. NO damage to my car, but minor scrape to the corner of his rear bumper. My insurance said,
- If claim is < $1,000 they pay the full amount and no ding to my rates or record.
- If > $1,000 my deductible gets hit and so does my record and rates for 3 years.

The other guy's body shop estimate was $950, subject to them finding no damage under the bumper skin (how could there be at 5 mph??). But then, can you trust them? And if he claimed a rental car for the time his car was out, that could also push me over $1,000. Wasn't worth the risk of higher rates to me so I wrote him a check for $1,000. Sure glad we pay for insurance so we get bent over on small claims. <end rant>

Woo hoo! Wonder how much it went for?

To the new owner if you are on this board: Welcome! Be forewarned you have big shoes to fill, especially this Winter. You must drive the snot out of it and put many miles a year on it. You must regale us with car tales from the big city. But the good news is that your car comes with a "Winter drift and 135is snow angel" how-to class, taught free by IEDEI! Enjoy.

I feel like even more of an idiot knowing that when I insured the 135is I lowered my deductible from $1000 down to $500. If I would have left it at $1000, I would have just paid for the repair myself, not ended up with a "point" on my driving record, and saved money on the last year of insurance premiums. Gonna drop these guys. The damage to my driving record has been done... they reported this parking lot incident to the State of Ohio as a "reportable accident" which means it will be reported to any other insurance company I send my declaration pages to for a quote. $%#@!!!! That's where they screwed me, I specifically asked them prior to filing the claim about the ramifications to my record and rates if I filed this tiny claim, and they lied, and they have the recorded phone conversations to prove it.

True true true!!! IEDEI inspired us to drive these cars, not baby them by keeping them in the garage in the winter!

HAHA. i hope the new owner doesn't get stressed reading this about his new car!! BUT YES....you guys have captured my ethos quite well. Buy the car you really want....and drive the living snot out of it!!! laugh and have a good time doing it. Maintain it well at the same time. The recipe of happiness for me!

yesterday i was doing small dry drifts in an empty university parking lot (the same one i used to do donuts in with the 135is!!!).....in the middle of the day. dreaming of the winter....

Where did you get the mirrors from? I'm thinking about doing that as my next mod. Are you keeping them black?

The mirror assemblies come black. I'm having the caps painted BSM to match the car. I have a guy who sourced the parts for me.

More 135is Photoshoot Fun

Just saw this today and this picture is hilarious cause at first glance I thought they smashed it into a wall for the picture. However, maybe they should consider cleaning the car before the photoshoot? geez. Those wheels and tires!

You'd think car dealerships would take the time to take reasonably good pictures of the cars they're trying to, you know, sell.

Ha, that must be ARCTIC white as some people mistakenly call their alpine white. It's a bright blinding white. Looks like someone went in there and just erased the shoulder line. I feel bad for some of these cars. I mean, how hard is it to take a half decent picture when the goal is to SELL and PROMOTE the car? Especially in this day and age where online is probably generating more and more of a dealer's sales.

When's your fancy new steering wheel going in?

Here's one for you, from YOUR dealer. =P I like how their photoshopped road changes texture/pattern from picture to picture as the car rotates and in this one the car defies the laws of physics:

http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=90035

Then this one is the primary picture of a car in atlanta. They did a good job of showing off the lines of the car. Really all I can tell is the car is black. And it rained.
