BMW are aware of iPhone v2 compatibility issues as are Apple.
Similar clientelle I think, and both are "workin" on a fix

This is my first post to this forum... so Hi. I have the new 3G iPhone and it works perfectly with my 323 touring. The address book transfers, the signal strength and phone name display on the idrive screen, the phone transfers to and from the bluetooth connection every time, the calls are clear and the volume works and the ipod feature plays and I see all my songs and my play lists. I do use the BMW ipod 'Y' adaptor. In my BMW Z4 the phone is great as a bluetooth phone and all my contacts transfer and the calls are clear but my ipod connector doesn't work. The phone won't charge and I can't play any songs so I use an older ipod to play music. Happily I will be swapping the Z4 for the 135i cabrio.
