I appreciate the advice.
If you don't mind me asking, did he do a deal for you? Tirerack is priced higher than **********s, however, **********s has not returned any of my attempts to contact them.

coolguy, thanks for all the info. :drinking:
A good shop is the only thing I have available so far. I guess I should ask what you think of the bars now that you have had more time to drive with them installed.

I have noticed a lot of BMW track cars running upgraded fronts with small, stock, or disconnected rears. Stiffer rear bars will reduce the amount of power you can put down on conner exit. If you don't know what your doing with suspension upgrades stick to balanced kits. You well have a better chance of not reducing your cars performance. |

One of the things i don't like about the 135 is the body roll. Might be I have an OCD or I drive aggressively and the body roll clearly shows. After getting both the HR sways changed, it is a lot better. I would sincerely advise getting both at the same time and installing them at the same time. After doing that test the car on a few quiet roads by aggressively changing the lanes and cutting around the corners. You'll notice the diff urself. If u ask me, are you happy about the sport suspension of the 135, I would still say no. Might be I expected a lot but something like a tckline or a bilstein pss10 might help me. but thats another story. I want to do one at a time. test for some time and do the next. HR sways might not be the best in the market. But they are one of the few available now and you won't regret the decision. :headbang:

Moving on to KW Version 2....
Having reduced the body roll by HR sway bars, i feel like doing more n getting the best out of handling. I have ordered a kw v2 coil over kit specific for the 135i. I had 3 choices HR, Tckline or KW currently and I opted for the KW V2 after doing some research as i thought KW V3 would be an overkill for me since I don't track that much.
I will let you guys know how it goes. Next might be the BMW LSD if they release one followed by JC shark edit. Exciting times |

At Tirerack they have the Eibach front 28mm and rear 15mm stabilizer kit for $377.
And the H&R front 27mm and rear 20mm for $413. Which is better, the H&R ? |

H&R differs from most in that the ends of the bars are forged and they use a bushing that you never have to lube. I had H&Rs on my MINI S and was quite pleased. Either are high quality, I like the H&R as it's a mount and forget item.

Thickness isn't always the answer, balance and quality is key.
I guess the H&R would be the better choice because of the forging and non-lube bushings. |

Forging and bushings aren't the answer either. There is a significant difference in the sizes of the bars. I would like to know if either combination is better.

Which is better depends on what you are looking to do with the anti-sway bars. A larger rear bar should cause the car to be more balanced or even to oversteer. But I come from FWD and AWD cars so its effects on the rear tire traction might not be as beneficial on the 1. On my past cars I've only done the rear bar and gotten huge improvements. I guess based on my past experience I'd go with the H&R to dial out some of the factory understeer.

I have already placed my order for the H&R bars, but I noticed today that the sway bars that Dinan offers (for the 335i at least) are the same measurements as the bars offered by Eibach. Now I am wondering if those are the better way to go. Can anybody help?
