He crashed the red one, but apparently he still has a black one sitting at home, along with a SLR that was towed a few weeks ago.

the cars were leased through his company and actually "belong" to other indivduals according to latest news report.

The SLR that it was apparently racing was also owned by the same company, but this same driver reported it stolen in the UK last year. Somehow it now showed up in the US, with his wife driving it recently. This guy is going away for a loooong time. Not only for drunk driving, but international insurance fraud, transporting over a million in stolen property overseas, and international trade fraud... not to mention screwing all of those investors.

No, actually they determined he was never racing a SLR, it was made up. It wasn't reported stolen by the "driver" but the fact that this guy stopped making payments, so the bank reported it stolen since they can't recover the vehicle. He didn't transport stolen property overseas as he actually purchased those vehicles when he was at US already. Lastly, I doubt he'll even see any real jail time. They'll probably liquidate some of his assets then give him probation for a few years with a hefty fine, and he'll probably just skip town and go hide out in Europe somewhere.

Multiple eyewitnesses reported that he was racing a SLR, long before there was any of this supplemental info about the missed payments and long before it was known that the car was being kept by this guy's wife in a neighboring town. Circumstantial, I know, but it's far, far too great of a coincidence seeing there aren't a wealth of SLRs running around there.

The only "eyewitness" was a guy claiming to be the passenger of the SLR. They suspected that he was actually the passenger of the Enzo. The "multiple eye witness" claim was only on the first day of the crash, they stop looking for the SLR a week into it because they believe there never was a SLR. It wasn't "kept by his wife in a neighboring town", it was believe to be in the guy's Bel Air estate, where the cops raided and found the other Enzo.

You can buy enzo's on ebay and such. They have had them, but you have to pay a premium. I buddy of mine's uncle didn't get an invite even though he had a collection, but went out and bought one.
