Headlight cracks from clearbra covers?
For the people who have clear braed their car and have owned it for at least 3 years, were there any damages to the headlights from the clearbra covers?
On my WRX, I put on thick Stongard covers on the headlights. The headlights eventually cracked (but never fractured) due to the thick film and the inability to release heat. The cracks only formed around the major focal area where the beam shines through the plastic housing. I am curious to whether the BMW 1-series have this issue. I'm wondering if I should be ok with putting a Ventureshield cover on the headlights. |

It's almost 4 years now with mine and have no issues with headlight crack/fracture. I'm actually going to redo my film because of the pitting/road rash, but I'm glad it protected the headlights.

3 years and not a problem here. From what my installer has told me, there have been significant advancements in materials in recent years. He didn't mention anything in terms of heat dissipation though. I really wouldn't worry.
