Cobb Timing correction

Hi, some questions about timing correction.I find out my cylinder 1 having timing correction during cruising. usually it happen around 1600-3000 rpm range. the correction around -1 to -3. the rest of cylinders will have correction here and there, but mostly happen on cylinder 1, sometime have 2 cylinders correction at the same time. when the cylinder having timing correction, is that mean that cylinder been knocking? how to reading the knock voltage to check if the cylinder is knocking? No correction during WOT. Is it the spark plug causing the timing pull? been running stage 1 sport map. and stage 1 drive map
no code so far.
some information about the car
40,000km

Have you tried this over different batches or brands of fuel? A bad batch can pull timing.

Try a different brand of gasoline, but as a general matter if you're not pulling significant timing across multiple cylinders during WOT, your car is probably running pretty happy. That's a broad statement of course, but our cars are extremely sensitive with regards to timing, and bone stock E8xs that are in excellent shape will sometimes have small timing corrections. The goal is zero corrections whatsoever, but if you have small/infrequent timing correction events that arent causing misfires etc i'd estimate your car is fine.

You're fine and that's normal. The DME uses timing corrections as a means of timing control and it's completely normal to have corrections when driving around normally. it's only a concern when the corrections are occuring at WOT.

COBB states that any minor corrections in timing among any cylinder under normal driving conditions are completely normal and you should not worry. only when under WOT or load should there not be more than 3 cyl correcting at the same time.
