I invite you to take a look at my HID retrofit

Hey everyone,
I just spent two weeks of my time making a complete retrofit for my stock halogen headlights.
It has been one hell of a learning process but it was extremely rewarding to finish.
My setup is as follows:
FX-R Bi-Xenon Projectors
5000k HID bulbs (35W)
Morimoto 35W ballasts
Morimoto xBALED Angel Eyes
Morimoto xB.Strip

I went from this:

To this:

To this:

Having bi-xenon projectors rules! Not only do I have my regular reflector high-beams but I also have the projector for double the light output. The road turns into day at night. The cutoff is sharp with a hue of purple at the cutoff line and it is just addicting to turn them on at night.

It was time consuming during these two weeks so I would like to forewarn any who attempt to do this:
Do not have a girlfriend - they take away so much time from the project
Besides work, shut down from every aspect of your life and finish the damn headlights.

Special Note:
Permaseal can go F itself.

Realy nice work! I had my civic Si's headlight retrofitted too, but with rx330 instead. I was going with FX-R too but had to cut on the cost.

Show us the cutoff! Here's mine when I still had my honda.

How much cost and for what you don't select Depo headlights.

That looks amazing! I will post cutoff pics tonight. I did some adjusting Friday night when I first ran them because the cutoff was too high. It was reaching the top signs on the highway

Dark housing, lazer clear halos, perfectly emitted light (it's such a challenge to balance headlights sometimes).. Seriously, I'm impressed. From the pictures, these look better than my stock xenons with upgraded halos.

Thank you so much for the compliments. If you weren't so far away I'd drive over to show ya. So far they are the brightest corona rings and strips I have seen so far on BMWs. Even the new ones cant compete, unless you like the hue of blue!

Once I get some free time, I'll post a documentary of the process.

Nice sharp cutoff! Sometimes I miss the sharpness and the way it was so colorful. Did you source your parts at TRS too?

How did you open the headlights? I thought it wasn't possible anymore to open the newer hu's without damaging them.

The headlight units use perma-seal. I lost my battle against it, but war is war. I used a dremel and cut them apart. I think sometime this week I will finally write up my documentary of this process with lots of pictures.
