swapping paddles :P

Alright I have looked through the forums with little luck on this does anyone know if I can swap DCT paddles onto my 2009 Steptronic steering wheel,
I hate the way the plastic paddles feel and not particularly fond of the up and down on both sides I would rather have the up on one side down on the other, and Metal paddles

any insight into this would be greatly appreciated
I contacted Burger tuning b/c they sell the harness and they told me the paddles will just mate up I wanted everyones imput on this b4 i order a set of new paddles from BMW NA thanks :P

Oh and I have the wheel with the M logo and thicker rim

Thanks

I agree the paddles aren't the best, but I have learned to cope with them.

I am interested to know if they can be switched out for the + and - paddles from the DCT and if it is easy to do at a reasonable cost

The mounts on the DCT paddles are different than those of the steptronic ones. Gonna need to go with an M3 steering wheel or 2011+ sport wheel

Maybe the non-M ones do? I gotta look into this because if they do I'll be getting a pair

There's a post here somewhere that shows how to rewire the existing paddles to make one upshift only and one downshift only. If I remember right, it seemed pretty straight forward wiring. Just switching a few wires around.

Remembered seeing this while browsing the tischer site. Its listed under the 3 series category, but I would assume its the same for the 135i. I've seen retrofits on e90post as well, so they've got to be there.

Not sure why I'm so curious, I drive a manual (and like it!).
