Hey Guys -

What are your thoughts on the following items for the 1?

ETA – Mid August and time to decide…

WINDOW TINT % (NJ Here - cant be too dark)

Can't really go wrong w/ photos 1 through 5

What about 6 and 7?

6 - Haven't seen any other photos of #6 (deflector)

7 - Replacing the 128i Black Kidney Grills w/ 135i Chrome.

i like the contract of the chrome against the black.

What do you guys think?

the mudflaps look great on AW cars, I've not seen them on other colors yet

I prefer the blacked out kidney grills, no chrome at all

Definitely recommend the rubber mats, they're working out great for me and I also have the one in the trunk. Your car should come with a set of either carpet mats as my dealer tried to tell me otherwise but they were already in the back when the car came in. You could probably convince them to switch them to rubber. Mudflaps are good too, take off wheels to install cuz its a lot easier. I'm not really into the wind deflector, kinda adds to the top and doesn't look as streamlined. New shifter is okay but if you're gonna switch I would say go for the BMW short shifter knob.

Oh and BTW, if you're gonna switch the front kidneys to chrome, you can send your black ones to me heheh. I'm considering getting black ones but will probably keep switching depending on my mood.

My dealer threw in the rubber mats, at first I wasn't to happy as I wanted the carpet but after using them for a while I am pleasently suprised, I would definately go for them.

I paid in the middle of invoice and MSRP and asked for a set of carpeted mats (while negotiating the sales price of the 1) the sales manager said yes and also was going to throw in the wheel locks as well.

I said I’d rather have a second set of mats (in rubber) instead of the wheel locks and he said no problem – he’s giving me a 68.00 parts department credit towards the rubber mats!
The rubber mats are fantastic. I'll keep the carpeted set for resale later down the road!
