I assume you're in the same boat.
Should be coated by friday, then I just need to get the TPMS sensors installed and the tires mounted and balanced. Possibly on saturday, but I'm supposed to, yet again, have the dents on the roof addressed that day.

MR. Clarkson. This is one of the fastest cosmetically modded 1ers I've ever seen Congratz

It's got some performance stuff in the pipeline too

Aside from the suspension stuff that's already done, of course.

Update

Got the wheels out of powdercoating today

Much nicer color than before; a nice metallic gunmetal now. I wanted to keep up with the dark on tan theme, but I don't like it when wheels are blacker than the tires, so I had to find a less than black that was still nice.

Update

Wheels and tires all mounted up today

More photos on my site.

Got the "TPM Inactive" warning though from the new TPM sensors. Off to the dealer monday to hopefully to reset the system since the car now thinks it has no TPM sensors anymore; despite having bought the new 2011 OEM ones that were in my stock wheels

I remember having to do that when I switched my wheels on my old tundra. I believe you can only have one set registered at a time...

Would make sense. If so, I guess ONLY the dealer could do that for me. To un-marry the old set to from the car and marry the new set to it.

Few more suspension / interior / tuning mods left in the next few months.

Until then, just some more editing of the photos I took yesterday; styled after the Lomo camera effect.

Turns out my car was two weeks too old to use the sensors I was previously sent, luckily Dan at United BMW was able to overnight these to me

Not sure except outside commuting . This weekend I'm taking a little photo trip up to lake hodges, so hopefully the twisties up there will let me try it out a little.

Not sure. They only had two shades, and the other was barely noticeable.

It's real smooth looking color, the dealership made lots of comments on it when I picked it up as well. Thanks!

Very nice photos, and tasteful mods.

Speaking of which, the rear tails, is it Lamin-X or just plain tint?

You've done alot in a short amount of time and for the most part looks great. Albiet the wheels imo don't really go with the car well (smooth curvatiuos little car and sharp angled wheels seem a bit off), as long as you're happy is all that matters! Keep at it and keep posting

It's not normal tint, it's an equivalent to Lamin-X, just a little thinner and easier to work with.

Not too many non-angled wheels available for the 1er

I 'll keep at it for sure

Thx. Is there an outfit that sells it you can point me to? Is it pre-cut or did you have to do it yourself? Lastly, any choice of coloring (meaning deepness of smoke, I don't want anything very dark because then it becomes borderline ricey IMO)
