Official number your 1m Thread

Credit is due to my best friend for this idea.

Much like the UK version of the 1m I move that we should all take action and number our cars based on production. In a way the rest of us non-uk owners can identify between one another. Maybe a nice vinyl number in the rear window.

Note: idea was born when best friend's wife could not tell which 1m was mine in parking area.

Who is with me?

Is this different from the proposed plaque/vinyl to designate production sequence? Sounds the same to me.

Considering the fact that less than 50% of the US 1Ms have been captured in the registry, I voted that you're a tool.

My knowledge is limited in determining how my car is numbered. Can we glean this information from the Vin? In that case how do the numbers read?

Is there a production number stamped on the vehicle?

I'm not sure if your friend is pulling your leg or you are pulling ours? You've been on this board long enough to know there is a 1M registry already. Since you are from Canada, your cars production sequence is lumped with the U.S. into NA production. Feel free to go to the Sticky and register your VIN.

Just saying per Metak's spreadsheet, only 21 out of the ~200 Canadian 1Ms have been identified and ~300 out of the ~700-800 US 1Ms. Would be cool if we can get all the Can and US cars identified.

I'm going to stifle myself and not make any cracks about Canada being late to the party.

What party?

Any party!

... dammit.

Sorry.
