XM Satelite Radio?

Hello all,

I personally prefer XM satelite radio but know that BMW is more geared towards Sirius. Can you get integrated XM Satelite radio on the E90 like you get Sirius?

Not yet, but according to Blitzsafe, they are working on the adapter that will allow it. BMW is their best selling adapter(according to them), so they are putting the effort into making it work.

FYI, you already can use the built in antenna in the E90's sharkfin for XM by just pluggin in an extention from the XM unit into the connect in the trunk of the E90.

That's fine, but can I control it through the stock deck, my impression is as of now, no. This Blitzsafe product you mentioned seems to be my future ticket if I want fully integrated XM radio... correct?

Correct. As of now you can't control it thru the stock deck. That's what the Blitzsafe adapter will be for.

yes. it will make the xm install much easier when the adapter comes out,.

As NJjustin said, absolutely. This option is pretty much a must have.

Is there any ETA on this adaptor? I have a 2 year XM agreement hanging in limbo right now, I can cancel it and get a pro-rated refund but i would rather see it put to use in my new BMW

I prefer XM over Sirius for a majority of reason, programming and quality being the biggest ones.

My car has the Sat Prep, it just happened to be on the car that i bought. Good to know that you can use the same antenna.

I don't know, but I know you'll see the announcement here first.

I know I'll be getting one - my wife has Sirius in her BMW, and the quality (to my ears) is horrible.
